Interface and indie Development

Last week I went along to Interface, a day-long event for the UK games industry's developers and publishers.

I was there with The Dangerous Kitchen who were meeting potential investors and promoting their new title De Mambo. The game was very well received, just as it was at EGX Rezzed in March, and there does appear to be some publisher interest, so fingers crossed.

The event was held in the charming, though somewhat leaky, Candid Arts Trust in Islington. It's a cute, ramshackle venue that reflected the indie spirit of the attendees.

There were also some great talks. I particularly enjoyed Shahid Ahmad from Sony discussing the ups and downs of indie development and the primer on games PR by Indigo Pearl's Caroline Miller.

All in all Interface was a genuinely useful event and I hope it returns in the future. In the meantime, check out the new De Mambo trailer...
